Online competition for kids and teens: Ötzit!

From September 12 to October 30, 2022, the Teßmann Library is holding an online competition (https://eurac.itch.io/oetzit) in which children and young people between the ages of 11 and 14 can play to win great prizes, such as a tablet, cinema tickets for Cineplexx, or a visit to the Terra X-Cube, EURAC Research's extreme-climate-simulation centre.

Are you a resident of the province of Bozen/Bolzano and would you like to play and win great prizes 🏆 such as a tablet 🖥, cinema tickets for Cineplexx 📽, or a visit to the terraXcube 🔖, the extreme-climate-simulation centre ❄️ of EURAC Research? Then take part in the Ötzit online competition!
Taking part is easy: help Ötzi 🧑 the Iceman ❄️ cross the Alps 🏔 in search of a quiet place 🏕 and don't let wild animals 🐻 🦊 🐗 stop him from going 🏞! How do you do it? By scanning the QR code 📱 (👉 https://eurac.itch.io/oetzit), registering 🖊, starting the online game 🎉, typing in words ⌨️ and collecting points ⭐️!

The competition is organised by the Teßmann Library. In order to participate in the competition, participants must register at https://eurac.itch.io/oetzit before the start of the game and obtain a declaration of consent from a parent or legal guardian.

Information on Ötzit!
Ötzit! is a game developed as part of the "Zeit.shift" project (https://all4ling.eurac.edu/de/projekte/zeitshift/) in which around 500,000 pages of historical daily and weekly newspapers from the entire Tyrolean region were digitised and will be made freely accessible in a web portal from October 2022. The development of games, citizen science activities as well as e-learning courses aim at promoting the population’s awareness for the importance of historical text heritage and at facilitating access to digitised historical collections.
"Zeit.shift" is a project financed by the European Regional Development Fund and Interreg V-A Italy-Austria 2014-2020 and by the Autonomous Province of Bolzano - South Tyrol.
