Our daily decisions and actions not only impact our immediate environment but also shape the world of our children and future generations. The fact that we annually consume the resources of 1.7 Earths (https://overshoot.footprintnetwork.org) underscores the urgent need for a shift in mindset and concrete action. Each individual has the opportunity to assess and adjust their own attitudes and lifestyles for sustainability because real change begins with small steps.
The books on display in the Reading room in February deal with various aspects of sustainability and environmental awareness, from innovative wooden architecture to urban agriculture and the circular economy, from repairing and DIY to micromobility, green offices and climate-friendly cooking, and one thing becomes clear above all: every individual is called upon and has the opportunity to review and adapt their own attitude and lifestyle in terms of sustainability, because real change begins on a small scale.
The books will remain on display in the Reading room until the end of February and can be taken on loan.
