Themed exhibition in the Reading room - October 2025

Nowadays, being on the move is part of life. Modern people travel frequently, sometimes for short periods, sometimes for longer, commute to work or stay in different places for varying lengths of time. Passenger transport is complemented by freight transport. Traffic jams are a daily occurrence, and roads and railways are reaching their limits. As a tourist and transit destination, South Tyrol is particularly affected by the effects of noise, emissions and traffic congestion. Is a transport revolution possible and, above all, how could it be achieved?

Until the end of October 2025, a selection of books on this topic will be on display in the Teßmann library's Reading room. The books can be requested online and borrowed on site or be delivered free of charge to a library in your district that is connected to the South Tyrolean interlibrary loan.
