In October, the Reading Room will feature a curated selection of non-fiction and contemporary literature that explore the role animals play in our lives and cultures, and what shifts when we look at the world from beyond a purely human perspective. While the non-fiction selection approaches the subject through scientific research and philosophical, political and social perspectives, a selection of recent fiction explores the ways in which animals appear as protagonists and motifs in contemporary literature.

The books on display can be borrowed from the library or reserved online.
