Ötzit! is a game developed as part of the "Zeit.shift" project (https://all4ling.eurac.edu/de/projekte/zeitshift/) in which around 500,000 pages of historical daily and weekly newspapers from the entire Tyrolean region were digitised and will be made freely accessible in a web portal from May 2023. The development of games, citizen science activities as well as e-learning courses aim at promoting the population’s awareness for the importance of historical text heritage and at facilitating access to digitised historical collections.
Zeit.shift is a project financed by the European Regional Development Fund and Interreg V-A Italy-Austria 2014-2020 and by the Autonomous Province of Bolzano - South Tyrol.
