The user account is a service that allows registered and logged in users to view their account and to renew and request items.
Searching the Teßmann library's catalog is possible for registered and non-registered users alike.

Registration - Login

Users can log into their User account with their User ID (number of the library card) and their password.
Note: To log in via Web, you need to be registered in the Teßmann library (find information on registration here).
Click on "Login" in the upper left corner of the online catalogue. In the window that appears, enter your User ID (as shown on your library card) and your password and click on "Login".

Forgot password

If you are a registered user and forgot your password, send an e-mail to info@tessmann.it or call 0471/471814 to have your password reset. You can change your new password yourself at any time after you have successfully logged in to your borrowing account under "Account settings">"Language and password".

View your User account

In your User account you can view your loans, requests, any fines and blocks, as well as check or change your stored e-mail address.

View items on loan and renew due date

In your User account you will find the list of items you have taken on loan, their due dates and, if applicable, any overdue fines in the section "Loans and reservations">"Loans". In the list you can also see whether the loan period of a title can be renewed or whether the item is reserved for another user ("Non-renewable" status) and the loan period can therefore no longer be extended.

You can renew the loan period by clicking on "Renew" next to the respective title or by clicking on "Renew all" at the bottom right to renew the loan period of all listed titles. Pay attention to the newly assigned due dates: Since you are allowed to borrow a title for a maximum of 120 days, an extension can also be less than 30 days, namely if you would exceed the 120 days of the maximum loan period.

Make reservations

If you are logged in with your user data, you can search the catalog, click on "Request item" for the desired title, select the pickup location in the appearing window and send your request.
If you are not yet logged in, click on "Request item" next to the desired title and insert your user data in the appearing login window. Click again on "Request item" next to the desired title, select the pickup location in the appearing window and send the request.
As soon as the item turns available for you, you will receive a notification on availability by e-mail. You have ten days to collect the item from the hold shelf and borrow it at the self-check machine.

View requests

In the "Loans and requests" section, you can view your active requests and the selected pick-up location. You can easily cancel a request by clicking on "Delete request".

Delivery to libraries that are part of the South Tyrolean interlibrary loan

Users registered in one of these libraries can request media from the Teßmann collection and have them sent to their library (Brixen, Bruneck, Eppan, Lana, Leifers (Library Don Bosco), Mals, Meran, Neumarkt (Library in the Ballhaus and Library Endidae), Salurn, Sand in Taufers, Sankt Ulrich, Schlanders, Stern, Sterzing and Toblach). The users can post their requests in the district libraries, which then reserve the desired media from the Teßmann Library for their respective user account.
Users registered in the Teßmann library also have the possibility to request media for the delivery to the district library closest to them by selecting it as pickup location when sending the request.

Only available media are delivered to the libraries participating in the South Tyrolean interlibrary loan. The delivery takes place once a week.

For requests that are sent up to and including Tuesday, the following delivery days apply:
